At the age of 9 she began her journey in the entertainment world by hosting for a kids channel “Splash” and at the age of 16, she gave a screen test for the V. Priya directed film Kanda Naal Mudhal and in this film she played a very challenging role of a 21 years old pregnant women was really tough for the girl at the age of16.
From 2006-08, she appeared in other Tamil films such as Azhagiya Asura-2006 and Panchamirtham-2008 (a fantasy comedy film in which she played a Cameo role). In 2010, she made her debut in the Kannada film industry through the film Suryakaanti as Kanthi.In addition in 2012, she made her debut in Telugu film Shiva Manasulo Shruti and she was fortunate to win the SIIMA Award for Best Debut Actress Telugu.
In 2013, she signed the two Tamil language films Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga Pandiraj directed Comedy-drama film which completed 100 days in TamilNadu theatres and Nirnayam was an S. S. Srisaravanan directed Drama film. From 2014-16 she signed the max number of the Telugu films such as Kotha Janta, Ra Ra… Krishnayya, Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitam, Subramanyam For Sale, Shourya, Shankara, and Jyo Achyutananda ( for that film she won the nominations at the SIIMA Awards for Best Actress — Telugu).
In 2018, she made her debut in the Bollywood through Shelly Chopra Dhar directed and produced under the production house of Vidhu Vinod Chopra film Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga starring Sonam Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao are in the main leads. In addition, this film will probably release at the beginning of 2019. She also appeared in many short films and her most memorable role in the short series was in the film Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi opposite Adith Arun.
