Guinness World Records: Rumesa Gelgi, named the world’s tallest woman by the Guinness World Records (GWR), has now broken three more records. According to GWR, the Turkish woman is now the proud holder of five world records. According to a verification in February 2022 and GWR  Record breaking characteristics of Gelgi that led to his name three more records:

  • Longest finger of a living person (female): 11.2 cm (4.40 in)
  • Largest hand of a living person (female): her right hand measures 24.93 cm (9.81 in) and Left arm measures 24.26 cm (9.55 in).
  • Longest back of a living person (female): 59.90 cm (23.58 in)

 

In a video posted by Guinness World Records on YouTube on October 21, she talks about herself and her birth ailment. she says, "As a kid I was bullied a lot, but one of the benefits of being tall is that you can set a Guinness World Record."

Gelgi said, "I got my first record title as a teenager in 2014 and I’ve been using that title for advocacy reasons since then, so I’m grateful for that."

Gelgi usually walks in a wheelchair due to his disability, and can only walk for short periods of time.
