Japan signs defense pact with Britain, Australia, Thailand
Japan along with Singapore and South Korea also participated in a conference called by the US in Germany regarding the supply of arms to Ukraine against Russia. The Japanese Prime Minister has started talks with the British Prime Minister and according to the Japanese official, this defense agreement will improve policies, legal and administrative procedures to conduct joint operations and there will be exercises. Both Britain and Japan are increasing their military strength. Britain uses the new F-35 fighter jet, which Japan already has. At the same time, Japan is also converting two of its warships into aircraft carriers.
Both Japan and Britain are working to keep the Indo-Pacific region free and open. Japan has signed a similar agreement with Australia. Earlier, Australia had signed the Occus Military Agreement with Britain and America. After this agreement, Australia will now get a state-of-the-art nuclear submarine. Apart from this, Japanese PM Kishida has signed an agreement with Thailand on May 2, through which it will give state-of-the-art defense equipment and technology to Bangkok. Japan also has plans to enter into defense agreements with Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines.
