Popular cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ether, Terra down today, TRON prices rise

After falling during Saturday and Sunday, the price of Bitcoin has again seen a big drop. Bitcoin had reached close to $40,000 (about Rs 30.5 lakh) early Thursday on exchanges such as CoinMarketCap, Coinbase and Binance. However, as of writing the news, bitcoin price in India is at its lowest point since January. In the last 24 hours, BTC has seen a 2.41 percent drop in value, with it trading at $36,004 (approximately Rs 27.5 lakh) on the Indian exchange CoinSwitch Kuber.

On global exchanges, bitcoin was priced at $34,100 (approximately Rs.26 lakh), a decline of 1.9 percent in the last 24 hours. According to data from CoinGecko, the value of BTC is now down 12.4 percent week-on-day.

The price of Ether also seems to be falling just like Bitcoin. At the time of writing this news, Ether was priced at $2,661 (approximately Rs 2 lakh) on CoinSwitch Kuber, while the popular coin was priced at $2,491 (approximately Rs 1.9 lakh) on the global exchange, a drop of 2.54 percent in the last 24 hours.

CoinGecko data shows that the cryptocurrency also lost 12.7 percent in value on a week-to-day basis.

Gadgets 360’s cryptocurrency price tracker shows that most popular altcoins have also fallen – with the global crypto market cap down 2.15 percent in the past 24 hours. TRON and Monero are the only crypto tokens that have increased in price. While Uniswap, Cosmos, Avalanche, Cardano, Chainlink, Polygon, Terra, and Solana all registered a fall in prices.

Mime coin Shiba Inu and Dogecoin have also come down, after falling 1.93 percent in the last 24 hours. While Dodgecoin price settled at $0.13 (approximately Rs.10), Shiba Inu was valued at $0.000019 (approximately Rs.0.0014), a decline of 4.77 per cent in the last 24 hours.
