Washington: NASA will soon release pictures of two exoplanets that are similar to Earth. NASA’s famous James Webb Telescope will take these pictures. 55 Cancri E is a very hot exoplanet. It orbits closer to its central star than the planet Mercury. According to NASA scientists, this exoplanet is covered with flowing magma. They also believe that the possible existence of a weak atmosphere on the exoplanet means that lava may have rained at night.

This planet is so close to its star that it completes its orbit in just 18 hours. This planet orbits the star in a manner called Tidley Lock, where only one side of the planet remains towards the star at all times. But scientists believe that the planet may be rotating on its own, which means that the heat from its proximity to the star would have spread throughout the exoplanet. Experts are also assuming on this basis that there may be nitrogen or oxygen on the planet.

The second exoplanet is extremely cold
Scientists are additionally planning to observe another exoplanet named LHS 3844 B, which is extremely cold. It is solid as a rock and does not have any kind of atmosphere. The James Webb Telescope will not be able to take pictures of its surface, but scientists will use other instruments to measure other data points. Information from both exoplanets can reveal the formation of Earth.

What is James Webb Telescope
The James Webb Telescope is part of an international space program that will explore objects outside our solar system. After the launch, scientists were examining its instruments. But now it is ready for its mission. The James Webb Telescope is jointly developed by NASA, the European Space Agency and the Canadian Space Agency. The first photos of the telescope will be released on July 12.
