Harun developed fever on 11 June 2022. He felt pain, itching and swelling in his lymph nodes. His fever rose to 39.6 °C (103.28 °F). He was trembling too. On the fifth day he was unable to do any movement and was in unbearable pain. After that a blister formed on his nose, the chanting was small at first but later became bigger and more painful. He explained that because of the sores in my throat, I could not swallow, eat or drink. That was painful. The pain startled me.
How is the patient being treated
Aaron was treated with tecovirimat for 10 days after being admitted to the hospital. It is an antiviral agent developed for smallpox, now licensed for monkeypox by the European Medicines Agency (EMA). Aaron told that he was being given antibiotics due to pain killer and infection.
