It takes only 5 minutes to make this. This is a very tasty and healthy breakfast option in a very short time. You can make this breakfast with green peeled moong. Making moong dal cheela is quite easy. Hot cheela is very tasty in breakfast. Everyone likes Cheela from kids to elders. Let us know how to make Moong Dal Cheela.

Moong Dal Cheela Recipe

  • First of all, soak a cup of moong dal in a vessel for at least 3 hours.
  • Now wash this dal and drain the water and grind it well in a mixer.
  • Now while grinding the lentils in the mixer, add 1 chilli, 1 inch ginger and 1 tsp cumin.
  • If the water is less, then add some water with a spoon and make a fine paste.
  • Now put this batter in a bowl and beat it for a while.
  • Add tsp turmeric, 2 tbsp coriander, a pinch of asafoetida and tsp salt to it.
  • Spread the paste on a hot non stick tava (griddle) with the help of a ladle.
  • Now apply some olive oil over the cheela and cover it a bit and roast it on medium flame.
  • Turn the chilla over and cook by pressing lightly from both the sides.
  • Moong Dal Cheela is ready. Serve it hot with green chutney.
