Dahi Ke Aloo Recipe: If you do not have any vegetables in your house or if you are bored of eating vegetables available in the same market, then you can eat curd potatoes and eat them. This vegetable made from curd and potato looks very tasty. You do not need to do much to make curd potato. You can only sprinkle it with cumin, green chili and garlic. After eating this vegetable once, you will feel like eating it again and again. This vegetable is made in many places in Kanpur and UP. Some people also call it whey potato. Ingredients for making Curd Potatoes

  • 200 grams – Potato
  • 350 grams – curd
  • 2 tsp – Desi Ghee
  • tsp cumin
  • tsp – red chili powder
  • One piece- Ginger chopped
  • Green chili – 2 finely chopped
  • 1 tsp – Coriander chopped
  • 1 tsp – salt
  • coriander leaves for garnishing

  • To make curd potatoes, first boil the potatoes, peel them and mash them into pieces or cut them.
  • Now you have to heat ghee in a pan. Also, mix the curd with water and sieve it well.
  • If there is whey, then just filter it and keep it aside.
  • When the ghee is hot in the pan, add cumin, asafoetida, turmeric, red chili.
  • You also add chopped green chilies and ginger to it. If you like the taste of garlic, then you can also add some chopped garlic.
  • Keep the gas on during this time. Now you have to mix mashed potatoes in it.
  • Now let the potatoes cook for 2-3 minutes. Keep stirring the potatoes lightly in between.
  • Add whipped curd to it. Keep stirring it till the curd and potatoes come to a boil. When it comes to a boil, add salt to it and keep stirring.
  • If the water seems less then add some more water.
  • When you have got both the things and they are cooked a little, then turn off the gas.
  • Curd potatoes are ready. Garnish them by adding green coriander.
