Islamabad : Pakistan’s new Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif can resume trade with India. A meeting of the Federal Cabinet of Pakistan was held on Tuesday in which a major decision was taken in this regard. Shahbaz Sharif, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, has been handed over to a country which is facing all the challenges like inflation and weak economy. Pakistani media claims that Shahbaz Sharif may soon meet his elder brother and PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif in London.

According to reports, the cabinet meeting chaired by Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday approved the appointment of trade minister in the country. Qamar Zaman has been appointed as the Minister of Trade to restart trade with India. Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan was against it. Earlier, a Pakistani businessman had also stressed on the restoration of trade ties with India and said that this is the only way to reduce inflation in the country.

Shahbaz Sharif on his way to London to meet Nawaz Sharif
According to Pakistani media Geo News, Shahbaz Sharif will meet with Nawaz Sharif in London and during this a ‘big decision’ can be taken. Senior PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, who is already in London, confirmed the visit of Shehbaz Sharif. Sources told Geo News that Shahbaz Sharif may leave tonight. Former PM Abbasi said that Shahbaz Sharif and other party leaders had asked Nawaz Sharif to convene a meeting.

A big decision can be taken in the meeting
However, quoting sources, the report said that Nawaz Sharif has called an emergency meeting of the party leadership in London. It is being said that Nawaz Sharif will discuss some important issues with the party leadership on which he has objections and can take a ‘big decision’. For this reason, he rejected the proposal for an online meeting. Issues like next general elections, Punjab cabinet and power sharing are likely to be discussed during the meeting.
