Government’s eyes on the donations received by Imran’s party from abroad
According to the report of Geo News, the Shahbaz Sharif government has received information about the arrival of large amounts of money from abroad in the private bank accounts of these four PTI employees. After which the account details of these employees have been sought from the State Bank of Pakistan. Pakistani agencies will get the investigation done by independent auditors
Sources have revealed that forensic examination of the records will be done by independent auditors. Thereafter, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will take action by obtaining the records at their respective levels. According to government sources, the Pakistan government has decided to write letters to PTI and international financial institutions seeking records of Imran Khan’s international bank accounts.
Pak government is asking for account details from foreign banks
According to government sources, during the tenure of former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, a data exchange agreement was signed, under which action would be taken. Under the agreement, FBR has the legal right to collect records from foreign banks. Sources also said that records of other foreign bank accounts of Imran Khan and his party including those of US, UK, Canada, Norway, Finland, New Zealand and Australia will be obtained. After this, the income of the former Prime Minister will be investigated.
Imran is already in trouble
Imran Khan is facing continuous difficulties after being removed from the post of Prime Minister of Pakistan. The allies, which were in power during their stay in power, are slowly edging out. At the same time, it is feared that Imran Khan’s objectionable MMM may be leaked. Imran Khan himself has claimed that the Sharif brothers have hired companies to make fake videos for his character assassination. Not only this, a case of blasphemy has also been registered against PM Shahbaz Sharif for shouting slogans against him in Mecca Masjid, Pakistan.
